HydroTreat

In pools, simply add 1 ounce of HydroTreat per 1,000 gallons of water, once a week.  In heavy usage scenarios, or warmer pool water, adding 1 ounce per 1,000 gallons twice or three times per week, or 2-3 ounces once a week will increase the effectiveness of HydroTreat.

The same application intervals exist for spas, but the ratio is 1 ounce per 100 gallons of water.

pH Up/Down

HydroTreat is pH independent, which means that it will work regardless of what the water’s pH measurement is.

However, pH is important for equipment warranties, and water safety.  Follow the appropriate guidelines for applying pH up/down to keep measurements in an appropriate range.

Phosphate Remover

Phosphates create a breeding ground for algae, making it harder to maintain a clean, clear pool. By removing phosphates, HydroTreat can work more efficiently, giving you better results with less product.

For optimal performance and minimal HydroTreat usage, keep phosphate levels below 500 ppb. While HydroTreat is powerful enough to eliminate algae even in high-phosphate conditions, higher doses will be required to fully sterilize the water.

Getting Started

For a new pool or spring opening, proper sterilization is essential to ensure clean, safe water.

When using HydroTreat, add 52-104 ounces per 10,000 gallons to fully sterilize the water. After one week, transition to standard HydroTreat dosing for ongoing maintenance plus algae and ammonia prevention.

Storage

To extend the life of HydroTreat, it should be stored out of direct sunlight, and at room temperature.

Measuring Chlorine

When measuring chlorine levels in pool or spa water, the expected result should be between .1 and .6 ppm.

NOTE: If you take the water to the local pool store, they will inform you that you need more chlorine or shock, which is inaccurate when using HydroTreat.

Measuring pH

When using Chlorine to sanitize your pool or spa water, documentation indicates that the pH should be between 7.2 and 7.6 in order for chlorine to be effective. HydroTreat is pH independent, which means that it will work regardless of what the water’s pH measurement is.

NOTE: pH is important for water safety, and certain pool & spa equipment require pH in a certain range to not void the warranty.
